The perfect backdrop to childhood memories!
We follow the same plan as Shelby County Schools for closing. If the public schools are closed due to bad weather, QBCC will also close. Please watch the local news for notice of school closings, our communication system, and our social media pages.
Please make sure children have on comfortable and clean clothes daily. Closed toe shoes are required. Please make sure there are no excessive hair accessories and beads.
All payments are due on the first day of the school week (Monday). If you are late, there is a $35.00 fee the following day and $10 each additional day. After Wednesday, the child will not be able to attend the Center until the balance has been paid. All checks should be made payable to "Quality Beginnings"
ABSENCES & WITHDRAWALS
We require a two week notice upon withdrawl. There are no discounts for absences.
HEALTH & SAFETY
We are bound by law to report all cases of suspected abuse or neglect. We report all cases to the Department of Human Services - Child Protective Services.
A child cannot be accepted in the center if he/she has a fever, a contagious disease, ringworn, rash or diarrhea. If these conditions are discovered after a child has been brought to the center, the child will be returned home immediately. We have an updated illness policy that goes into more detail. This policy is available upon request.
IMMUNIZATIONS & MEDICATIONS
Each child must have all immunications upon admissions unless there is a medical reason. Medication administered to a child by any staff members or personell at the center must be authorized by a written statement from the parent or doctor. The statement should include the child's name, type of medication, amount and time of dosage and any potential side effects the medicine may cause. All medications must be in original container. Please make sure your physician knows to schedule most of the doses when the children are home if and when it is possible.
More information will be provided to you in the Parent Handbook upon enrollment. If you have any questions that have not been answered by our ground rules outlined thus far, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to answer any questions, concerns, or inquires that you may have.
